Friday, July 22, 2005The FULL MOON HORROR ROAD SHOW is getting nearer!!! Below I am posting the dates and venues that are confirmed – tickets should be on sale soon. This is only 9 of about 20 cites that I plan to visit in October! October 6th – Houston: The Meridian October 7th or 8th – Dallas: Lakewood Theater October 13th – Madison: The Orpheum Theater October 15th- Columbus: Capitol Theatre October 16th- Cleveland: The Agora October 19th – Detroit: Royal Oak Music theater October 22nd – Buffalo: The Icon October 31st – Philadelphia: The Keswick Theater I can’t tell you all how excited I am about putting on this crazy event! – I don’t think anyone has ever done anything quite like it. It is in a weird way similar to how magicians promoted and staged their acts around the turn of the century: although I won’t be pulling rabbits out of a hat, I sure will be revealing some secrets and scandals, tricks of the trade, bizarre promotions, amazing contests and I promise everyone will have a lot of fun! – Also in the style of the old traveling shows of last century we’re creating a super-cool poster which will soon be visible in and around the cities where the road show is coming to with more juicy details! I just saw an almost complete version of DOLL GRAVEYARD – I can safely say it’s the best thing we’ve done in quite a few years! So many talented people were involved and gave their time and energy - a mega special thanks to our fearless in-house producers Joe Dain and Jeremy Gordon not to mention the absolute “wizard” of Full Moon post-production, Danny Draven who is involved in every aspect of post and beyond! DOLL GRAVEYARD will be out the first week of October – which is also when I begin my road show! Speaking of Full Moon – you will probably notice the Full Moon Features logo is back up on our sites and starting with DOLL GRAVEYARD it will be on our DVD sleeves too; the reason for this is although Wizard is the new distribution company it seemed wrong not to have our cool Full Moon logo present the movies! In addition our soon to be born toy line will now be called FULL MOON PLAYTHINGS! The site: FullMoonPlaythings.com should be up in about a week! We’ll have the first few limited edition puppets from PUPPETMASTER along with the first test copy of Marvin the Horny Homunculus from DECADENT EVIL as well as some of the original dolls and puppets from the films. We have copies of DECADENT EVIL, just out on DVD, plus we’ll be bringing import DVD’s from 8 of the early Full Moon films including PUPPETMASTER 1,2,3, SUBSPECIES 1,2, TRANCERS 1,2,3 and DEMONIC TOYS! Although these imports have Spanish subtitles you can click them off! I’ll be at the convention this Friday and Saturday to say hello and will be happy to sign anything from any of my past films! We got in our first few “test” figures for Blade and Tunneler! Marvin from DECADENT EVIL should be here tomorrow. They look really cool! We’ll be bringing them to the San Diego Comic-Con this Thursday thru Sunday for viewing. With a little luck our big shipment of finished figures will be here in early September which means they’ll be available towards the end of the month in stores and also from us on-line. Remember we’re producing a super limited quantity of 1,990 each (The year the first PUPPETMASTER was released!) – they will each be numbered and signed – so if you’re going to want one please put your name on our waiting list by E-Mailing SRoberts@Shadow9.com. The packaging is also looking amazing – the immensely talented Ryan Brookhart is creating this – and he just finished the killer final art for the DOLL GRAVEYARD DVD which I’m posting below. Road show: is really shaping up! We’re still aiming for x20 cities – all during the month of October. 4 cities are set so far – they are: Detroit on October 19th Buffalo on October 22nd Hartford on October 27th Philadelphia on October 31st – Halloween! (big bash – must come in costume!) We should have the following cities set soon: Minneapolis, Madison, Chicago, Columbus, Cleveland, Ann Arbor, Pittsburgh, Baltimore and Boston. In addition I’m also pretty sure we’ll be able to bring the show to 3-4 cities in Texas. The exact names of the venues and show times will be posted shortly. CB posted @ 05:40 PM PDT [link] Friday, July 1, 2005Hey – it’s already July 1st !!! - And here’s what’s happening at Wizard – DECADENT EVIL is now out at video stores and will also be available as of Monday at FullMoonDirect.com! Thanks for the encouraging E-Mails and good reviews! It is a very small movie (x6 day shoot!) but has its “memorable” moments! Also – Marvin – the Horny Homunculus from Decadent will be available as an action figure late August as well as the first two limited edition PUPPETMASTER figures from Wizard Toys! We’ll have more updates on our sites – and also exactly where you can find these figures. And speaking of dolls – DOLL GRAVEYARD is now finishing post-production and will be out in early October – just in time for Halloween. The first x2 dolls from that film are now beginning the process of “becoming” action figures – we’ll have some photos of the sculps up soon. We’ll also have the DOLL GRAVEYARD trailer up next week on WizardEntertainment.net and FullMoonDirect.com! More exciting news: THE GINGERDEADMAN is finally completed after a long post-production period and will be our next release after DOLL GRAVEYARD. It’ll be out in November – just in time for Thanksgiving and X-Mas…and what better freaky horror film for the holidays than a film about an evil fucked-up cookie!!! Gary Busey is the guest star and the “voice” of the Gingerdeadman…look for this trailer also to go up on our sites next week! And of course the action figure will be available very soon after the release of the film! I expect the Gingerdeadman action figure to be in everyone’s kitchen by Christmas night! San Diego Comic-Con: we’ll be there for the year’s greatest convention! We’ll also have test copies of our first 3 action figures! In addition we’ll have some of the older Full Moon films finally on DVD. Although they are imports – they sure look a lot better than those old VHS copies. If you’re at the convention please come by and say hello. My road show: OK…we are REALLY close to confirming all the cities I’ll be going to in October. I am SUPER EXCITED about this show. The title is ‘CHARLES BAND’S FULL MOON HORROR ROADSHOW!” and it will be a blast! As mentioned before – there’ll be rare and somewhat surprising video clips, weird celebrity guests, crazy promotions and giveaways, a killer contest (where a winner in each city will be in one of my movies and be killed by a monster!), amazing merchandise available including a special action figure exclusive only to the road show, and many more surprises. I’m a big magic fan and magic poster collector and I liken what we’re doing to the road shows of 100 years ago – where the entertainers brought their bag of tricks and appeared live on stage. I’m also creating a very cool 30x40 poster in the style of the old magic posters which will promote each show in each city - I hope to have these up by the end of August. Once the x20 cities are published in about 2 weeks I welcome anyone’s help in hanging/placing these posters so people will know we’re coming to town!!!
