Wow! Christmas is here and in more ways than one!: We have confirmation that our order of the SUBSPECIES BOX SET from Australia will be here right after the first of the year and we’re all EXTREMELY EXCITED! And FYI the DVDs will be “all regions” so they can play wherever you are! We’re setting the date of January 6th at high noon for when the box sets will go up on www.FullMoonDirect.com. And we’ll have a “count-down” counter up soon to build up the madness until that moment! This is a very limited run and we’re only getting x500 units – apparently when we sell out we can re-order but their next run will not be until June. The price will be $59.95.

On some other fronts: We actually have just a few boxes now left of the PUPPETMASTER BOX SET and it will permanently come off our site on December 31st…We also have about x75 the road show Blades left which will hopefully last until early January. In case you blinked the road show trailer is now up – just go to www.FullMoonDirect.com! As I mentioned a few days ago we will also have a 30 minute “featurette” about the road show which we’ll put on every DVD release next year beginning with ALIENS GONE WILD! (available late January).

What a year! And next year will make this one look mellow! In 2006: we’ll release x6 new horror features, The William Shatner’s Full Moon Frightnight series (as aired on the SCI FI Channel), a new edgy kids label called “Spellcaster” – at least a dozen action figures and 1:1 replicas, The MonsterBra line and several crazy novelty lines of very non-PC items – the first collection called, The BadAssDolls!!!”

Cant wait for the Subspecies box, I can finally get rid of my poor Laserdisc conversions. I'm still waiting on my Puppet Master Box to arrive, but hopefully it won't be too much longer. The roadshow trailer was really nice, I liked it alot... although it felt like rubbing everything in my face for hanging fliers then missing the show. Anyways this has been an awesome year for fans & with the Subspecies collection in January you're definately on a roll Charles. Maybe we'll eventually see a Trancers box set!?

ARE THE PUPPET MASTER DVD BOX SETS IN WIDESCREEN OR FULL SCREEN??? IT DOESN'T REALLY SAY ANYWHERE ON THE FULL MOON DIRECT WEB SITE.

PM Box set DVDs are all fullscreen, even tho it says Widescreen on the PM1 blurb. It liez!

I have a question regarding widescreen versions of Full Moon's films. Puppetmaster, Subspecies, Vampire Journals, etc were all shot on 35mm, but intended for video release. Were they shot with the intention of cropping the picture to fill a TV screen? And if so, would there be any point to a widescreen release? When most of the early Full Moon pictures were produced, VHS movies were expected to be pan & scan, 4x3 aspect ratio. I just wondered how this affected the cinematography and if any thought was given at the time to future widescreen release.

The first Full Moon movie I had ever seen was Vampire Journals - I am obsessed with it. It has inspired me to follow my dream and go to film school when I am out of the Navy.
Ted Nicolaou is a brilliant director. I am also inspired by his vision as applied to the cinema.
