We've had some very flattering reviews over the last few weeks. Since this "show" is a new invention - I'm really happy that people like it and that we now have the basis for a yearly twisted event! To get such an in depth positive review on Ain't It Cool News is an honor, check it out here and also check out this other awesome(!) review at Blogcritics.org!!! Look forward to meeting a lot of you this week in either Baltimore, Red Bank NJ, Peekskill NY, Boston or finally on Halloween in Philadelphia!

I have 2 tickets for the Red Bank, NJ show. If anyone wants them, they are up for grabs for free, since I can't go.

Mr. Band, I just got home after the show in Baltimore. I must say, I didn't know what to expect, but I was duly impressed. You are very down-to-earth in person, and I know many fans like that. Being a "Master of Horror", you certainly know how to do it best. Thanks again for signing the DVDs and Limited Edition Bronze Blade Statue - I look forward to seeing your show next year!

Mr Band, I went to your show in Baltimore. Like the previous poster, I enjoyed the show. But I don't think either I or my fiance enjoyed it entirely as much as the previous poster. I am taking time out of my busy schedule to tell you why, just as you have been willing to take time out of your busy schedule to put on the tour. For starters I think you made a mistake holding the performance at the Senator. The Senator is a beautiful old Baltimore landmark, but as you learned it does not have the greatest sound system. Its also often fairly dirty, many of the seats are broken and the Senator is huge, so a decent size crowd seems like a small crowd. Furthermore, while the Senator Theater is in Baltimore City proper, its not downtown, which might have hurt the turnout. Next, there was very little publicity in Baltimore. We saw an ad in the City Paper and that was it. Yet, even though you ran an ad in the Baltimore City Paper, your show was not listed in the Baltimore City Paper's list of weekly highlights. Instead the Baltimore City Paper staff put questionable highlights like "The Incredibles on Ice" as Must Dos for the week. Next year if you pay the City Paper for ads, make sure they don't tell people they'd be better of catching "The Incredible on Ice." Additionally, try to get interviews on Baltimore radio stations. Trust me- With the amount going on in this town, morning radio shows will give you plenty of free publicity. Regarding the show itself, I think you were hurt by a small fairly staid audience with limited numbers of hot chicks. Still the show could have been improved with more interactivity. The skit and Monster Bra modeling were good. The audience got more into things when you integrated the audience into the show. Such things being said, you kept the price extraordinarily reasonable. You could easily charge $18-20 without people questioning the price. Thanks for the show and your willingness to put up some of your dolls for auction. I hope the winning buiders appreciate what they got. I hope you do this next year, and, if so, please consider bringing a a Gingerdead Man doll to Baltimore for me to bid on. That would be totally cool.

I just got home from the Red Bank NJ show and I am VERY Glad I did.MapQuest said it was a 1 hour 43 min drive but of course they were wrongo!LOL.It took me about 3 hours to get there with rush hour traffic ,but the drive was WELL WORTH IT!Since it was during the week(Thursday)and getting cold, the crowd was manageable. So many times at events the crowds can be overwhelming, and it is hard to truely meet and talk with your favorite person(s)you went to see. This night was special because Charlie and Debra(Mayer,Charlies' Fiance and a great actress),were able to spend alot of personal time in a relaxed, fun atmosphere with all the fans.Everyone REALLY had a Blast!I was fortunate enough to win a role in one of Charlies movies and be killed!I never win anything, and the fact I won, should show everyone out there anybody can win!I really love Charlies' movies PuppetMaster,Retro-PuppetMaster,Subspecies,Blood Dolls,Re-Animator,From Beyond, and his new movie Doll GraveYard...oops,wait,I can't name them all here cause there would be NO room!I really think Charlie and Debra,et.all, should be proud at how devoted his many, many fans are,and we should be thankfull he and Debra are so down to earth, friendly, and just cool to talk to,ask questions, learn about the movies he makes, and anything else that may interest you about Charlie and Full Moon/Wizard Entertainment.I am also going to the Boston and Philly shows and can't wait for those. If you can, get tickets, you won't be sorry! Thanks again to Charlie,Debra, and everyone else at the Red Bank NJ show!

Hey Charlie,
I had SO much fun at the NJ Show. Thank you so much for putting on this show. It's a great way for us to learn more about your work, and how you make films. I was bummed not to win the role in one of your movies.. My dream is to be bitten by some awesome Vampire.. lol It would have been cool to be killed in one of your movies.. even if I'm a girl. It was so cool to meet Debra Mayer, as Blood Dolls is one of my favorite movies. (congrats on your engagement!) I bought so much stuff, it's great b/c a lot of these movies were hard to find prior to you opening your site. Thanks again for a wonderful time.. I hope to you see you again next year, or maybe we will bump into each other at one of Alex's shows again :)
This weekend plan on watching GingerDead Man, and Doll Graveyard.. :)

If anyone is interested Alex sent me the song written for Doll Graveyard and it is available on my website as a download. (www.alexmaxband.com ) He also spoke a little about his appearances in the Texas shows in my Question and Answer section. Hey Mr. CB - I would love to be able to put up some video footage of Alex performing at those shows. Think about it ;) Thanks.

Hey Charlie,
Wow, your roadshow is a (laser?)blast!
I went to the show at the Somerville Theater on Saturday! Yeah, you guys made it in the snow!! It was such a fun time! I'm the guy who asked about the return of Dr. Mordrid...glad to hear you're talking with Jeffrey about bringing him back!
The bras were awesome! Debra is awesome! The concept of a road show with clips, props, and guests, and a q&a is really awesome as well.
I really hope you do it again next year! I'll be there...with more friends!
Btw, my friends and I go way back to seeing Metalstorm in 3D in a theater here in Boston...we're young at heart!
Best,
Reuben

I went to the Baltimore show (the one with the crappy microphone). Sorry if we weren't as drunk and disorderly as we should have been - for a lot of us, I think, it was the middle of a work week. Still, even though we may have been quieter I think most of did have a blast.
An idea you might want to do for next year is to book the theater all day and show a few of your movies so people can make it a whole-day event. I've mostly seen them on the small screen, and I noticed when the AFI near here showed EVIL DEAD 2 that it was a whole different experience, much more intense, seeing even a very familiar movie in an actual theater. Personally, I'd love to see TROLL or DR MORDRID on the big screen. Just seeing the clips was a blast. That way, too, you might pull in some people who are somewhat less geeky-cinephiles who just want to see a movie and may not be familiar with your name (even if they don't stay for the actual road show, which they might end up doing as well).
I agree with the guy who said the Senator may not have been the best venue. You might want to look into the Landmark E Street in Washington DC or the AFI Silver Spring in Maryland, both of which are newer, more technically adept and always seem to have a good turnout when they screen offbeat movies.
The only other suggestion I can make is more movies on DVD, please! I'm looking forward to being able to grab MERIDIAN, but I was thrilled to grab THE CREEPS, INTRUDER and LASERBLAST, which I haven't seen in about 20 years.
Also, thanks for hanging around afterwards and being so enthused about talking to us. It was a thrill to get some face time, and it's always great to see a celebrity who isn't a pompous asshole who just tolerates his fans and who loves what he does.
Looking forward to next year!
